Surviving the Bump in the Road

Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help. Hebrews 4:14-16 (MSG)

Bump in RoadWhat do you do when you hit a bump in the road along life’s journey? You have a bill you can’t pay, your marriage is on the rocks, you lost your job and now have a tough career decision… We go through life wanting to be in the drivers seat trying to fix all our problems. We turn to a friend for a listening ear. We cry out to our family for advice. We run down to the church to talk to a pastor. Then, almost as a last resort, we cry out in desperation, “I don’t know what else to do but pray!”

Do you want to approach someone who has never walked in your shoes or someone who has faced what you are going through and was able to overcome it? Jesus has experienced it all! It doesn’t matter what we are facing in life, Jesus is able to give us the exact help we need.

Faith Speaks: Boldly approach the throne and receive all that He is ready to give.
